In 2004, the Apirotan traveled to Havana, Cuba, and adorned the Church of Saint Nicholas with its chandeliers. In January 2004, the Church was inaugurated in the presence of His Holiness the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, as well as Fidel Castro.
